As of 20 November, Susse Maria Holst will resign from her position as Deputy Director for Communication and Public Affairs at Aalborg University (AAU) to begin a new job as Head of Communication, Press and Involvement in the Ministry for Green Tripartite.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Susse Maria Holst for her for her significant contribution at AAU – not least in connection with the consolidation of AAU's new, joint communications unit. With her insistence on data, analysis, planning and following up, Susse has had a very significant impact on the major quality improvement in the university's communication work over the past few years. I am very sorry to say goodbye to Susse – both as a very professionally competent Head of Communications and as a managerial colleague, but I wish her the best of luck with her new exciting tasks," says University Director Søren Lind Christiansen.

"It has been some incredibly exciting and educational years at AAU. I am proud of the unit we have created and the results we have achieved by creating a strong professional environment with a focus on external communication and impact. Thank you to the rector's office for the great trust in the transition and good feedback along the way. It has not been an easy decision to change jobs and thus say goodbye to a communications team and group of  area managers that is something very special in terms of community, ambitions and professional standards. AAU is a very special place where we are good at collaborating and finding common solutions. I will carry that forward," says Susse Maria Holst.

The University Director has appointed Lars Raakilde Jespersen to the position of Deputy Director until the summer 2025, after which the position of Deputy Director will be advertised.

Lars Raakilde Jespersen has until now been the area manager for the web team in AAU Communication and Public Affairs and will now be tasked with continuing the set direction for more targeted and strategic communication at AAU.
