Flemming Koch resigns from his position as IT Director at Aalborg University (AAU).

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Flemming Koch for the great work he has done for AAU. Flemming deserves a large part of the credit for the fact that we now have a professional, joint IT department at AAU where digitalization is an integral part of the task management. With his solid experience and his warm nature, Flemming has been a skilled leader of IT Services (ITS) for almost nine years," says Søren Lind Christiansen, University Director.

"Being at the helm of ITS has been an interesting journey.  Thank you to the staff and colleagues for helping to make the journey a success. I am proud that we have created a professional and well-functioning set-up that works aggressively with AI and other forms of digitalization. The university is well equipped for the next phases on the journey towards a more digital AAU," says Flemming Koch.

The university director has asked the management team in ITS to jointly take over managing the unit until a new IT director is found. In the near future, the management team will draw up a plan for solving the existing tasks and setting the strategic direction for the development of the unit in the longer term, including a description of the profile for the new IT director.

The position of IT director is expected to be advertised during the autumn.

Farewell reception

Flemming Koch has had his last day of work. A farewell reception will be held on Friday, 13 September, 12.30-14.00 in the Atrium at Fredrik Bajers Vej 1 in Aalborg.
